Koi Pond Filter

A crystal clear pond is only a filter away The Ultima II 4000 is the next generation of filters and the best tool for Koi ponds. It is specifically engineered to meet the environmental demands of ponds by providing mechanical and biological filtration and is also an ideal filter for aquariums where very high flow rates are desired.

Features include: the Bio-tube Aquamedia that is a light weight media designed for very high flow rates and very high biofilm surface area. The media is in three different sizes with random lengths and diameters to avoid stacking. The unique tubular design of the media is scientifically engineered to protect good bacteria while dislodging unwanted debris. The "Y" shaped design on the inside of the media and "wings" on the outside help to create a pro-active surface under backwashing that will keep the media from clogging.

The filter can be cleaned by a cyclonic backwashing provided by internal jets that only takes minutes to do. It is recommended the filter be cleaned once a week on light loads and twice a week or more on heavy leads. PVC (1 1/2") piping, fittings and ABS safe sealant are necessary for installation.
